Year-Crossing Noodles (Toshikoshi-Soba)
Price：JPY 800 / per person
Time：7 p.m.to 9p.m. *Last admission is at 8:30 p.m.
Venue：Party Room HARUKA and TENKU (21F)
WHAT IS “TOSHIKOSHI-SOBA”?
Year-crossing noodles, Toshikoshi Soba, is Japanese traditional noodles eaten on New Year’s Eve. This custom lets go of hardship of the year because soba noodles are easily cut while eating.
The tradition started around Edo period (1603-1867) and there are several theories believed that long soba noodles symbolize a long life. The buckwheat plant can survive severe weather during growing period, soba represents strength and resiliency.

To enjoy its scent and smooth sensation when swallowing, it is acceptable to make noise while eating soba and, in terms of that eating manner,
it is an extremely unusual food along with the likes of udon and Chinese noodles in the world.

NEW YEAR’S EVENT
In celebration of the New Year, Staying Guests will be treated with Complimentary Japanese SAKE in the morning of New Year’s day.
